    The Carbohydrate Continuum

The Carbohydrate Continuum is the "energetic blueprint" that bridges caloric intake to all possible physical activity levels - ranging from at rest to maximum exertion.

Due to shifts in activity level, the body will compensate in two different ways.

The first way is that the body will physically burn a dramatically higher amount of carbohydrates only during certain times! (ONLY IN THE RED ZONE in the continuum)

This physical progression is NOT linear! Until now, nobody but Physiologics has developed visual models and metaphors for showing the public the science of this progression in a live setting. (see Educational Tools & Materials)

The second way is that the body will also shift the stored amount of carbohydrates. Understanding how the body shifts the way it burns and stores carbohydrates makes nutrition easier to understand.
